Shenzhen Wanyi Technology Co., Ltd (CESTSEN) is proud to announce the launch of the RAD-S51, a new-generation alpha particle radon sensor engineered for accurate, long-term monitoring of radon gas concentration in indoor environments. By combining a high-sensitivity silicon detector with a static diffusion measurement principle, the RAD-S51 delivers dependable radon data for occupational health programs, industrial and mining safety, and regional environmental monitoring.
The RAD-S51 measures radon concentration through the static diffusion of air. Leveraging the radioactive decay properties of radon gas and its progeny, the sensor collects alpha counts through a silicon detector and a dedicated signal acquisition system, and then calculates the radon gas concentration. This architecture enables continuous, unattended monitoring over extended periods, making it an ideal choice for permanent radon surveillance installations.
Unlike many conventional instruments, the measurement system of the RAD-S51 is not sensitive to humidity, which ensures stable readings even in damp basements, mines, and other high-humidity environments where radon tends to accumulate.
